NAPERVILLE, Ill. — A fire in Naperville’s 1100 block of Iroquois Avenue resulted in $300,000 in damages to an apartment complex.
The Naperville Fire Department was alerted at 1:58 p.m. on Wednesday. Heavy black smoke was reported from unit 208, with residents, including disabled individuals, trapped on the second floor.
The response included 18 fire apparatus and 44 personnel. Firefighters controlled the blaze by 2:27 p.m., rescuing several residents. Six units were deemed uninhabitable, displacing four residents.
The cause is under investigation, and there were no injuries.
