PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Patchy fog, drizzle, and a few light morning showers are expected across eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey before improving conditions later Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, cloudy skies and areas of fog may persist through the morning hours as a weak system moves through the region.
Forecasters say some spotty showers and drizzle could linger early Sunday, but skies are expected to gradually clear during the afternoon, allowing for some sunshine later in the day.
High temperatures Sunday are forecast to reach the upper 50s to near 70 degrees across parts of the Philadelphia region, including Wilmington, Trenton, and surrounding communities.
Conditions will turn drier overnight, though patchy fog may redevelop in some areas late Sunday night as winds remain light.
By Monday, the region is expected to see mostly sunny skies with mild temperatures climbing into the upper 60s, creating a spring-like start to the workweek.
Warmer inland areas of Pennsylvania and New Jersey could approach near 70 degrees, while coastal locations such as Atlantic City may remain slightly cooler due to marine influences.
The improving weather could benefit commuters and students Monday morning as visibility and travel conditions improve after Sunday’s early fog and drizzle.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts for updates, particularly if traveling early Sunday when fog may reduce visibility.
