Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — Cloudy and damp conditions are expected across the Philadelphia region Saturday before a noticeable warm-up arrives Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, New Jersey, Saturday will remain cool and murky, with widespread cloud cover and areas of drizzle or fog across southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

High temperatures Saturday are expected to reach around 50 degrees in Philadelphia, with upper 40s across parts of New Jersey and the Poconos, and low to mid-50s in portions of Delaware and southern New Jersey.

Forecasters say showers may develop tonight, continuing the unsettled weather before conditions begin improving.

By Sunday, temperatures are expected to climb significantly as milder air moves into the region.

Highs Sunday could reach the mid to upper 60s across much of the Philadelphia metro area, with some locations in southern New Jersey and Delaware approaching near 70 degrees.

The warmer temperatures may also bring breaks of sunshine, offering a more favorable day for outdoor activities compared to Saturday’s cloudy conditions.

Communities including Philadelphia, Trenton, Wilmington, Allentown, and Atlantic City are expected to see the warming trend.

Residents planning outdoor activities this weekend may find Sunday the better weather day, as the region transitions from cloudy and damp conditions to milder springlike temperatures.
