Boston, Massachusetts — Cloudy skies across eastern Massachusetts are expected to clear later Sunday, setting up a sunnier and warmer start to the upcoming week.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, conditions will gradually improve Sunday afternoon and evening, leading to clearer skies and increasing sunshine by Monday and Tuesday.
Saturday is expected to remain mostly cloudy with daytime highs ranging between 47 and 52 degrees across the region.
By Sunday, clouds will linger early before gradually clearing later in the day, with temperatures rising slightly into the low 50s to low 60s.
The warmest weather of the upcoming stretch is expected Tuesday, when temperatures could reach the upper 60s in some locations, making it the warmest day of the week for much of eastern Massachusetts.
Forecasters note that coastal communities may remain slightly cooler due to onshore winds coming off the Atlantic.
Monday will bring sunny and mild conditions, with high temperatures generally ranging from the upper 40s to lower 60s depending on location.
The stretch of quieter weather may provide improved conditions for commuters, students, and outdoor activities after recent cloudy conditions.
However, clouds could return by midweek, with possible showers developing Wednesday, according to the forecast outlook.
Residents across the Boston metro region can expect several days of improving weather and increasing sunshine as the new week begins.
