New Hampshire – Headlights cut through thick gray fog across Manchester this morning as mist clings to trees and damp pavement. Temperatures sit near 31°F, just cold enough for isolated slick spots where drizzle briefly freezes on untreated surfaces.

According to the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, areas of fog will linger through late morning before skies remain mostly cloudy into the afternoon. Visibility has dropped to around three-quarters of a mile at times near Manchester Airport, especially along low-lying roads and river valleys.

Drivers along Interstate 93, Route 3, and I-293 should expect slower travel through the morning hours. Fog and damp pavement can quickly reduce visibility, particularly on bridges and elevated ramps. Allow extra following distance and keep headlights on.

Temperatures gradually rise toward 50°F later today, helping melt any isolated icy patches that developed early. Clouds hold steady through the afternoon as southerly winds increase slightly.

Rain chances increase tonight as a weak system pushes into southern New Hampshire. Light rain may develop during the late evening hours and continue into early Sunday before tapering. Temperatures remain mild enough for rain rather than snow across most of the region.

Once the system clears, a noticeable warmup spreads across New England. Highs climb into the upper 50s Sunday, then reach the low 60s Monday with increasing sunshine. Even warmer air builds Tuesday when temperatures push toward 67°F, offering one of the mildest stretches of the season.

Another seasonal milestone arrives early Sunday morning when clocks jump forward one hour at 2 a.m., marking the start of daylight saving time.

Meteorologists say the warming trend may continue into midweek as early spring air expands across the Northeast.
