Pueblo, CO — Warmer and mostly dry weather is expected to return to southern Colorado this weekend, with the warmest temperatures arriving Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, conditions across the plains and mountain valleys will remain sunny and dry Saturday, while isolated snow showers are possible across the mountains.
Saturday temperatures are expected to vary across the region:
- Plains: Highs between 45 and 55 degrees
- Mountain valleys: Highs between 40 and 47 degrees
- Mountains: Highs between 25 and 44 degrees, with a 40% chance of snow showers
Overnight lows Saturday night could fall into the 20s across the plains and single digits to teens in higher elevations.
By Sunday, forecasters expect a noticeable warmup as a drier pattern moves into the region.
Sunday high temperatures are forecast to reach:
- 61 to 73 degrees across the plains
- 53 to 58 degrees in mountain valleys
- 33 to 55 degrees in the mountains
The National Weather Service says Sunday should be clear and sunny across most of the region, making it the warmest day of the weekend.
Drivers traveling through mountain passes early Saturday may encounter brief snow showers, but widespread travel impacts are not currently expected.
