According to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Major Crimes Investigative Unit began investigating Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and felony Secret Peeping allegations on Tuesday, March 3 after a report from patrol deputies.
Sheriff Danny H. Rogers said investigators identified Mark Steven Tallant Sr., 51, during the inquiry. Detectives allegedly discovered that Tallant was in possession of videos containing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), which authorities say supported the initial allegations.
Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for Tallant’s arrest.
He was taken into custody and charged with:
- Three counts of felony Secret Peeping
- One count of Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
Tallant is currently being held at the Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro under a $100,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
