Authorities said officers soon spotted Duncan in the area, at which point he allegedly fled on foot toward the 1900 block of W. Ann Street, triggering a brief foot pursuit.
During the chase, officers reported that Duncan allegedly discarded a firearm equipped with an extended magazine along the route. The weapon was recovered by officers during the investigation.
Police said Duncan was ultimately apprehended in the 1900 block of W. Wiswall Street without further incident.
