Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Patchy fog and a few showers may affect travel across the Philadelphia region Friday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly, light showers remain possible early Friday, though many areas will mainly experience cloudy skies and areas of fog.

The fog could briefly reduce visibility on roadways, particularly during the early morning commute before gradually improving later in the day.

Communities including Philadelphia, Camden, Wilmington, and Allentown may see lingering showers early Friday, though widespread rainfall is not expected.

Drivers traveling along major corridors such as Interstate 95, Interstate 76, and Interstate 78 could encounter patchy fog and damp roads before conditions slowly improve.

Temperatures Friday are expected to range from the upper 30s to lower 50s across the region.

Cloudy skies are likely to continue into Saturday, with areas of fog possible again during the morning hours. Additional showers may develop Saturday night as another weather system approaches.

By Sunday, temperatures are forecast to climb even higher, with afternoon highs potentially reaching the mid-50s to near 70 degrees in some locations as a gradual warming trend develops across the Mid-Atlantic.

Forecasters say some showers may still occur Sunday before partial sunshine returns later in the day.

The warmer temperatures expected through the weekend and into early next week could bring more spring-like conditions to the region after a stretch of cooler weather.

Morning commuters, transit riders, and school travel routes may notice reduced visibility due to fog early Friday, particularly in low-lying areas.

Residents are encouraged to drive cautiously in fog and monitor updated forecasts as conditions change through the weekend.
