According to the Winnipeg Police Service, officers responded around 10:55 p.m. on February 25 to reports of a fight involving approximately 15 individuals at a licensed establishment in the 1100 block of Main Street.

Police said two officers were allegedly assaulted while attempting to make a lawful arrest. North District General Patrol officers located two men still actively fighting. One man was detained under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act, while the other was released without charges.

During the response, a 27-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were arrested for allegedly obstructing officers. Police allege the woman kicked one officer and spat at another, while the man attempted to prevent officers from detaining one of the men involved in the altercation.
