Dry wind sweeps across the Front Range this morning, rattling signs and pushing dust along I-25. The air feels deceptively mild at 49 degrees in Denver, but humidity sits near 13 percent.

The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Friday morning through Friday afternoon for the urban corridor and plains along and north of I-70. West winds of 15 to 25 mph will gust up to 40 mph. Relative humidity could drop as low as 11 percent. Any spark may spread quickly.

Today stays sunny and breezy with highs near 63 degrees. Gusts may reach 28 mph by afternoon. Across the mountains, moderate to heavy snow continues at times, especially over higher passes. Travel impacts are likely in the high country, while lower elevations remain dry and vulnerable to fire spread.

Friday warms further to 69 degrees under full sun. Winds increase again, and critical fire weather conditions are expected to develop by late morning. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that could create sparks.

The weekend brings a shift. Saturday reaches 70 degrees with mostly sunny skies, a clear spring tease before March arrives. By Sunday, clouds increase with a slight chance of rain after late morning and highs near 62. Sunday night carries a better chance of rain with lows near 34.

Early next week trends cooler but still seasonable. Highs dip into the upper 50s Monday with additional rain chances into Tuesday. Longer-range outlooks hint at above-normal temperatures returning later next week.
