Texas – Warm air is already wrapping around San Antonio this morning, with temperatures near 57 degrees under clear skies. The calm start will not last long.
Sunshine quickly takes control. Highs soar to 91 degrees this afternoon. Light winds turn north to northeast at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts near 20 mph. It will feel more like late April than late February.
Hydrate early if you work outdoors. The jump from the 50s this morning to the 90s by midafternoon will be noticeable.
Skies stay mostly clear tonight with lows near 62 degrees.
Friday remains sunny and hot with a high near 85 degrees. Weekend Weather stays warm as well. Saturday reaches 85 under mostly sunny skies. Sunday climbs to 87 with a steady southeast breeze and occasional gusts near 20 mph.
No rain is expected through the weekend. Roads along I-35 and Loop 410 remain dry, and travel conditions stay excellent.
Early next week brings slight changes. Monday cools to around 79 degrees under mostly sunny skies. By Tuesday, clouds increase with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs settle near 78. Rain chances tick up to 30 percent Wednesday with highs around 80.
While much of the Midwest eyes late winter snow, South Texas continues its early March spring warmth. Looking 6 to 10 days out, temperatures trend above normal overall, reinforcing this warm pattern.
