Washington’s Inland Northwest is waking up under low gray clouds and pockets of patchy fog, with temperatures hovering near 36 degrees at Spokane International Airport. Wind chill values dip into the upper 20s, and visibility may briefly tighten on stretches of I-90 before midmorning.

According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, fog lingers through about 8 a.m. before skies gradually turn partly sunny. Afternoon highs reach near 44 degrees, though southwest winds between 7 and 14 mph may gust as high as 29 mph. That breeze adds a brisk edge to the air.

Skies partially clear tonight, allowing temperatures to drop to around 31 degrees. That sets up a Late Winter freeze across neighborhoods from Airway Heights to Spokane Valley. Any melted frost from the afternoon could refreeze on bridges and untreated roads before sunrise. Take it slow during the early commute.

Thursday turns mostly sunny with highs near 46 degrees. Winds increase again, gusting up to 33 mph at times. Thursday night stays mostly cloudy with lows around 33 degrees.

Friday brings a modest Spring Tease. Highs climb to about 48 degrees under partly sunny skies. Saturday edges even milder near 49 degrees before clearer skies and colder nights return.

By Sunday and Monday, sunshine strengthens and highs push into the lower 50s. The 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures heading into early March across eastern Washington.

For now, cold mornings still matter. Are you seeing fog or frost in your neighborhood today?
