Nevada’s high desert is waking up under mostly cloudy skies, with temperatures near 49 degrees in Reno and calm winds across the Truckee Meadows. The air feels cool but not biting, and streets remain dry along I-80 and U.S. 395.

According to the National Weather Service in Reno, clouds will gradually thin through the day as highs climb to around 62 degrees. Light west winds between 5 and 15 mph develop this afternoon, adding a mild breeze but no travel concerns.

Skies partially clear tonight, allowing temperatures to drop to about 35 degrees. That Late Winter chill could create patchy cold spots in outlying valleys before sunrise. While no precipitation is expected, early commuters should remain mindful of colder pavement in shaded areas.

Thursday brings mostly sunny skies and a noticeable warm-up. Highs reach near 66 degrees with light winds. Thursday night stays partly cloudy, with lows around 40 degrees.

Friday continues the Spring Tease. Afternoon highs push toward 68 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Outdoor plans should benefit from calm conditions and comfortable air.

Saturday remains pleasant, with highs near 67 degrees and filtered sunshine. Changes begin late Sunday as a slight chance of rain develops after 10 a.m., with snow levels near 7,300 feet. That keeps the valley rain-only, but Sierra passes could see light Snow into early next week.

Monday carries a chance of rain with snow levels lowering near 6,500 feet. No major impacts are expected in Reno, but mountain travel may turn slick at times.

The 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures as March approaches.
