Oregon rain is already misting across Eugene, and wet pavement will greet drivers heading along I-5 and Beltline Highway this morning.

Temperatures hover near 50 degrees with steady light rain and low visibility in spots. According to the National Weather Service in Portland, rain continues through today with a 100 percent chance of precipitation. Additional rainfall between a tenth and a quarter inch is expected by evening, with heavier totals arriving tonight.

Rain intensifies again tonight into Tuesday. Forecasters call for another quarter to half inch through Tuesday afternoon. Highs climb into the lower 50s Tuesday, but skies remain gray and damp. Plan extra travel time and watch for pooling water in low-lying stretches and on exit ramps.

By Wednesday, rain becomes more scattered. Highs reach near 51 degrees as brief breaks of sun develop later in the day. Temperatures dip into the low 30s Wednesday night. A slight chance of rain returns Thursday and Friday, with cooler air filtering in late week.

Snow levels lower to around 2,600 feet Saturday before dropping closer to 2,400 feet late. While downtown Eugene is expected to stay rain-dominant, higher elevations in Lane County could see light snow. If showers linger into chilly nights, isolated slick spots may develop on bridges and overpasses.

The 6–10 day outlook suggests gradual moderation into early next week, but February remains unsettled for western Oregon.
