California sunshine is already spilling across downtown Los Angeles, and by this afternoon thermometers will push toward 80 degrees — a jolt of February spring warmth that feels more like late April.

Skies stay mostly sunny today with light north-northeast winds shifting southerly. According to the National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard, highs reach around 80 degrees, followed by clear and mild conditions tonight with lows near 55.

The warmth holds Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs near 79 degrees under bright skies. West to southwest breezes remain light, keeping fire danger low but allowing inland neighborhoods like Glendale and Pasadena to heat up quickly during peak afternoon sun.

By late Wednesday night, patchy fog begins to redevelop after 10 p.m. That marine layer lingers into Thursday morning and again Friday morning, especially near the 101 and 110 corridors. Visibility could dip during the early commute. Slow down on bridges and shaded ramps where moisture condenses first.

Afternoons stay warm. Thursday climbs to 82 degrees after fog clears. Friday peaks near 83 with mostly sunny skies. Even coastal areas warm noticeably once clouds break.

No rain is in sight through the workweek. The broader 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across Southern California into early next week. Spring vibes are building steadily.
