The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg warns of strong, gusty winds across Upstate South Carolina, northeast Georgia, and western North Carolina today and tonight. Gusts between 50 and 65 mph are possible over the higher peaks, with widespread gusts across the Piedmont. Even outside the mountains, wind chills will tumble into the teens tonight and early Monday. Higher elevations could see single-digit or even sub-zero wind chills.

Drivers along I-85 and I-26 should prepare for sudden crosswinds, especially near open stretches and elevated bridges. Secure outdoor items now. Isolated tree damage and scattered power outages are possible as the strongest gusts move through.

Rain tapers off this morning, and skies gradually brighten. Highs reach near 51 in Greenville before colder air settles in. Tonight turns clear and sharply colder, with lows around 28.

Monday stays sunny but cool, with highs near 43 and continued breezy conditions. By Tuesday, February 24th, sunshine dominates and highs rebound to near 49. A bigger warmup arrives midweek. Wednesday climbs to the low 60s with partly sunny skies. Thursday brings rain chances and highs in the mid 60s. Friday trends mostly sunny near 61.
