Bourbonnais, IL — As the fall foliage adorns the city, a call to clear out those bathroom cabinets reverberates through Bourbonnais.

The Pledge for Life Partnership’s DEA Drug Take Back Day is slated for Saturday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Northfield Square Mall. This drive-in/drop-off event, stationed by the LensCrafter’s entrance, aims to collect expired or unused prescription medications, ensuring their safe disposal.

This initiative, part of a broader national campaign, offers a seamless way for residents to participate without even stepping out of their cars— a convenience that hinges on favorable weather. The local police departments in Crete and Crown Point are also participating, with drop-off points set up in their respective lobbies.

Community members are urged to rally together in this endeavor to curb prescription drug abuse and keep homes, as well as the broader environment, safe and drug-free. Your involvement in this event could significantly impact the community, aiding in the larger fight against prescription drug misuse.
