Utah Weather is biting cold across Salt Lake City this morning, with temperatures sitting at 21 degrees and a sharp wind chill near 11. The Wasatch Front looks calm now, but clouds are lining up for another round of February snow. Roads remain dry early, yet that could change quickly after sunset.

According to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City, today stays mostly sunny with a high near 37 degrees. South winds remain light at 5 to 8 mph. By late evening, moisture increases, and a 40 percent chance of snow develops after 2 a.m. Less than a half inch of new snow is expected tonight.

Friday brings steadier snow, mainly before 11 a.m., with a 60 percent chance of accumulation. New snowfall should stay under one inch in the valley, though benches and higher elevations could see slightly more. Drivers along I-80 through Parleys Canyon should plan for slick stretches during the morning commute.

Friday night turns partly cloudy with a low near 19. Saturday rebounds to 43 under sunshine, offering a brief winter break. Sunday climbs to 49 with mostly sunny skies, signaling gradual moderation.

Still, cold air lingers at night. Saturday night drops to 25, and Sunday night settles near 30. Watch for isolated icy patches where melting snow refreezes, especially on shaded roads and bridges.

Early next week trends milder. Highs reach 53 Monday and mid-50s Tuesday before another chance of rain and snow develops by midweek. Longer-range outlooks hint at gradual warming into late next week, nudging temperatures closer to seasonal norms.
