Vermont – Bright winter sun reflects off Lake Champlain this morning, but the air bites at just 29 degrees. Sidewalks look dry for now, yet a fresh round of February snow is lining up for the end of the workweek. Drivers along I-89 and Route 7 should prepare for changing road conditions by Friday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Burlington, today stays partly sunny with a high near 29 and north winds 5 to 7 mph. Clouds increase tonight, and temperatures drop to around 13 degrees. Thursday remains partly sunny with a high near 33, offering a brief midweek break before snow returns.

Snow develops mainly after 1 p.m. Friday. Highs reach 34 degrees, and 1 to 3 inches of accumulation are possible by evening. Roads may turn slushy during the afternoon commute. East winds near 5 to 7 mph could shift snow across open stretches near the lake.

Snow continues Friday night and lingers into Saturday, when additional light accumulation is possible. Highs Saturday hold near 30 degrees. By Saturday night, temperatures fall to around 13. That sets the stage for flash freezing where daytime melt refreezes after sunset. Watch untreated roads and shaded hills.

Sunday stays mostly cloudy with highs near 33 and a slight chance of snow. Next week begins cold, but the 6–10 day outlook signals a warming trend building late next week. Early signs point toward milder air and hints of spring warmth returning to Vermont.
