Nevada – Palm trees sway and loose patio chairs rattle across the Las Vegas Valley this morning as a Wind Advisory takes hold. Skies are clear and temperatures sit near 52 degrees, but conditions will change quickly by late morning.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10 a.m. through 2 a.m. Tuesday for southern Nevada, including Las Vegas. South winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph expected. The strongest winds are likely during the afternoon and evening hours.
Drivers along I-15 and I-40 should prepare for sudden crosswinds. High-profile vehicles will feel the push, especially near open desert stretches. Secure trash bins and outdoor furniture before midday. Tree limbs could come down, and isolated power outages are possible.
Rain chances also increase today. Showers become more likely this afternoon, mainly after 4 p.m., with breezy conditions continuing. The high will reach near 67 degrees. Showers may linger into the evening before gradually decreasing.
Tuesday turns sunnier with a high near 62, though it stays breezy. By Wednesday, showers are likely early, then skies gradually clear with a high near 57. Cooler air settles in midweek, with lows dipping into the 30s by Wednesday night. No snow is expected in the valley, but higher elevations could see winter weather impacts.

Tuesday: High 62, sunny and breezy.
Wednesday: High 57, morning showers then clearing.
