Ohio – Headlights cut through thick fog across Cincinnati before sunrise, with visibility dropping near zero at times and temperatures hovering at 32°F. Elevated roadways, including stretches of I-71 and I-75, could turn slick through daybreak as patchy freezing fog develops.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. Visibility may fall below a quarter mile, and some bridges and overpasses could develop icy spots where surface temperatures dip below freezing.

Expect gradual improvement late this morning as fog lifts. Afternoon highs climb to near 56°F under partial sunshine, offering a quick February thaw. Winds stay light, limiting additional travel impacts once visibility improves.

Clouds increase tonight with lows around 37°F. Tuesday turns milder, reaching 60°F with mostly cloudy skies. By Tuesday night, temperatures hold in the low 50s as thicker clouds settle in.

Wednesday, February 18, brings a 40% chance of rain before early afternoon. Highs surge to 67°F, delivering strong Spring Vibes across southwest Ohio. Gusty southwest winds could top 25 mph at times.

Another round of rain develops Thursday, with a 50% chance during the day and 70% Thursday night. Despite the wet stretch, temperatures remain well above normal through late week.

Looking into President’s Day Week and the 6- to 10-day outlook, above-normal readings continue across the Ohio Valley. After today’s fog and brief icy threat, a warm February pattern dominates before any meaningful winter chill attempts a return.
