California – Water is already pushing toward the edge of the Embarcadero this morning, and high tide will test low-lying roads again by late morning. Shoreline parking lots and bayside trails could see water creep over curbs as early as midmorning.

According to the National Weather Service in San Francisco, a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. Tuesday. Forecasters warn that up to 1.0 foot of inundation above ground level is possible along the San Francisco Bay shoreline. High tides are projected around 9:34 a.m. today, 10:16 a.m. Monday, and 10:58 a.m. Tuesday, each running nearly a foot above normal.

Minor flooding is expected in vulnerable spots, including Marina Green, portions of the Embarcadero, and low-lying areas near Highway 37. Only isolated road closures are anticipated, but saltwater could cover short stretches near the bay during peak tide. Do not drive through water of unknown depth. Allow extra time if your commute hugs the shoreline.

Periods of rain continue into Monday and Tuesday, with highs near 61 today, 55 Monday, and 54 Tuesday. Breezy conditions develop at times, adding to choppy bay waters. By midweek, rain lingers with highs in the low to mid-50s before gradual improvement late week.

Looking ahead to President’s Day week, temperatures trend closer to seasonal norms, then hint at a milder pattern beyond midweek. Longer-range guidance suggests above-normal readings building late next week, an early nudge toward spring vibes across California.

Five Day Outlook for San Francisco, CA:
Sunday: High 61, showers, 90% chance of rain.
Monday: High 55, rain, 100% chance.
Tuesday: High 54, showers and breezy, 100% chance.
