Idaho – A thin layer of patchy fog is lifting across parts of Boise this morning, revealing clear skies and a brisk 36-degree start. The air feels crisp now, but a steady February warm-up is building before rain and snow return early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Boise, patchy fog fades by midmorning, followed by mostly sunny skies and a high near 47 degrees. Light southeast winds hold steady. Roads along I-84 and Eagle Road remain dry, but melting snow in shaded areas could refreeze after sunset.

Temperatures dip to 37 degrees tonight under mostly cloudy skies. That freeze-thaw cycle can create slick spots on bridges and neighborhood streets. Keep an eye on wet pavement late tonight and early tomorrow.

Saturday turns cloudy with highs near 54 degrees. Sunday brings a brighter break with mostly sunny skies and a high of 56 degrees. Washington’s Birthday warms further, reaching 58 degrees with only a slight chance of rain after late morning.

The pattern shifts Monday night. Rain becomes likely, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation. By Tuesday, highs reach 51 degrees with rain changing to a rain-snow mix at times. If temperatures slip closer to freezing Tuesday night, light snow could create slushy stretches for the Wednesday commute.

Meteorologists are tracking this unsettled midweek system. While much of the central U.S. trends 10 to 20 degrees above average into next week, Idaho sits near the dividing line between mild air and lingering winter.

Are you seeing fog clear out in your neighborhood, or are roads still damp?
