Albany, New York – Above-freezing temperatures and mainly dry conditions are expected across eastern New York and western New England on Saturday for Valentine’s Day.
According to the National Weather Service in Albany, afternoon highs will climb into the mid to upper 30s in many areas, with some Hudson Valley communities approaching the lower 40s.
Forecast highs include around 37 degrees in Albany, 36 in Glens Falls, and near 41 in Poughkeepsie. Pittsfield, Massachusetts is expected to reach approximately 33 degrees. Most locations are projected to remain precipitation-free throughout the day.
A slight chance of snow showers is possible before 1 p.m. in parts of western New England, including Pittsfield, before skies trend partly sunny. Otherwise, conditions are expected to be mostly cloudy to partly sunny across the region.
Overnight lows will drop into the teens in many locations, including around 15 degrees in Albany, 12 in Glens Falls and 17 in Poughkeepsie.
Roadways including I-87, I-90, I-88, US-9 and US-7 are not expected to experience widespread weather-related travel issues during the daytime Saturday.
For couples and families with outdoor dinner plans or travel across the Capital Region and Hudson Valley, Saturday offers milder conditions compared to recent colder stretches.
