The National Weather Service noted measurable snowfall has been observed at each primary reporting location included in the Eastern U.S. update — an uncommon seasonal benchmark across the region.
While some Mid-Atlantic and coastal areas remain below normal for the season, Vermont locations have generally tracked near or above typical snowfall totals, with multiple winter systems contributing to steady accumulation.
For commuters, students, and ski areas across Vermont, above-average snowfall has supported consistent plowing operations and sustained winter recreation activity.
The snowfall year runs from July 1 through June 30.
