Fulton County, Indiana – A two-vehicle crash at US 31 and State Road 110 left one woman dead Saturday afternoon.

According to the Indiana State Police Peru District, the collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the intersection of US 31 and State Road 110.

A preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Todd Trotter indicates that a 2018 Chevrolet driven by Sharon Roth, 72, of Fulton County, was traveling eastbound on State Road 110 when it allegedly entered the direct path of a 2021 Ford driven by Marija Bilic, 45, of Jenison, Michigan. A juvenile was also a passenger in the Ford.

Police said the impact caused the passenger vehicle to stop in the northbound lanes of US 31, while the east side of the highway was also blocked.

Roth sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Marshall County Coroner’s Office. Her family has been notified.

Bilic and the juvenile passenger were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors. The investigation remains ongoing, and toxicology results are pending.
