Ohio’s Lake Erie shoreline looks gray and wintry this morning, with low clouds hanging over Cleveland and a few light snow showers drifting inland. Temperatures sit at 26 degrees, and a northwest breeze pushes wind chills down near 14.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, a slight chance of snow showers continues through late morning before skies partially clear. Any additional accumulation stays light, but untreated roads could turn slick, especially along I-90, I-71, and the Innerbelt bridges. Even minor flakes can create icy patches when pavement temps hover in the 20s.

Highs only reach 28 degrees today. That keeps much of the area below freezing, limiting melting. Once temperatures fall back to 18 degrees tonight, refreezing becomes likely on damp surfaces. Watch for black ice during the evening drive and again early Friday.

Sunshine returns Friday with highs near 38 degrees. The warm-up continues into Valentine’s Day Saturday, with mostly sunny skies and highs around 41. Sunday pushes even milder, near 45 degrees, offering a brief February thaw across Northeast Ohio.

No major snow is expected through the weekend. Still, early morning icy spots remain possible where snowmelt refreezes.

Early next week trends milder and more active. Highs climb into the upper 40s Tuesday and low 50s Wednesday with rain chances increasing. The 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across Ohio, signaling a shift toward late-winter spring vibes.
