Florida – Headlights glow in a gray haze across Orlando this morning as patchy dense fog lowers visibility to around a half-mile in spots. Drivers along I-4 and the Beachline Expressway are slowing as the sun struggles to break through low cloud cover.

According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, areas of dense fog developed across Lake, Seminole, Orange, Osceola and Okeechobee counties early this morning. Visibility may dip to one-half mile or less before mid-morning. Conditions should gradually improve after 9 a.m., but sudden drops in visibility remain possible.

Motorists should use low-beam headlights and increase following distance. Avoid abrupt lane changes. School drop-offs and early commutes may take longer than usual.

Once the fog thins, temperatures surge. Highs climb to about 75 degrees today with a slight chance of showers after mid-afternoon. A brief shower could dampen pavement, though widespread rain is not expected.

Friday turns warmer near 76 with morning fog patches, then sunshine. Valentine’s Day Saturday looks mostly sunny and pleasant with highs near 78. Sunday brings a higher rain chance, with showers and thunderstorms possible after early afternoon. Winds could gust above 25 mph by late day, creating choppy conditions on area lakes.

Showers become more widespread Sunday night before tapering early next week. The broader 6-10 day outlook signals above-normal temperatures across Florida. Highs may reach the upper 70s to near 80 through midweek, reinforcing early spring vibes across Central Florida.
