Pennsylvania – Light flakes are drifting across parts of Allegheny County this morning, and a gray sky hangs low over downtown Pittsburgh. Temperatures are stuck near 26°F, and untreated roads still hold slushy patches from earlier snow showers.

Scattered snow showers continue through midmorning, with about a 30% chance of additional bursts. According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, highs only reach around 30°F today with northwest winds near 10 mph. Even minor coatings can create slick spots, especially on bridges along I-376 and Route 28.

If you’re heading out, allow extra time. Watch for icy stretches in shaded areas and on elevated ramps. Wind chills remain in the teens at times, adding to the winter bite.

Skies gradually quiet tonight, but temperatures drop sharply to near 17°F. Any leftover moisture may refreeze after sunset, increasing flash-freeze concerns during the evening drive.

Sunshine returns Friday with a high near 36°F. The warming trend builds into Valentine’s Day Saturday, when highs reach around 45°F under mostly sunny skies. Snow piles will soften and melt during the afternoon.

Sunday turns milder still, climbing to about 46°F with a 40% chance of rain. Wet pavement could develop by afternoon, replacing snow with steady drizzle in spots.

Looking ahead, NOAA’s 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across much of Pennsylvania. Highs may reach the low 50s by midweek as a broader February thaw spreads east.
