Davenport, Iowa – Mild February weather will continue across the Quad Cities region through the remainder of the workweek, with only limited chances for precipitation and minimal travel impacts expected.
According to the National Weather Service Quad Cities office, daytime high temperatures will remain above average for this time of year, generally reaching the 40s each day. Overnight lows are expected to range from the mid-20s to lower 30s, consistent with a relatively quiet winter pattern.
Tuesday will be breezy, with wind gusts reaching up to 35 miles per hour, particularly along open corridors such as Interstate 80 and Interstate 74. Despite the wind, temperatures will climb into the upper 40s to low 50s, making it one of the warmer days of the week.
Wednesday brings calmer conditions and abundant sunshine, with highs ranging from 41 to 49 degrees. Clouds will begin to increase late Wednesday night ahead of the next weak system.
The only notable precipitation chance of the workweek arrives on Thursday, when a 20% to 50% chance of a rain/snow mix is forecast. Any precipitation is expected to be light, with little to no accumulation anticipated. Forecasters note that impacts to travel should remain minimal, though brief slick spots cannot be ruled out if precipitation coincides with early morning or nighttime temperatures near freezing.
Roadways including I-74, I-80, I-280, and U.S. Highway 67 may see minor reductions in visibility during passing showers, but widespread disruptions are not expected.
By Friday, drier conditions return, with highs warming back into the mid to upper 40s under mostly sunny skies. Forecast confidence remains high that no significant winter weather hazards will develop through the end of the week.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed as Thursday’s precipitation timing becomes clearer, but overall, the week ahead favors mild temperatures and manageable travel conditions.
