Texas – Low clouds and patchy fog blur headlights across the Houston area early, with warm, humid air already settled in. Temperatures hold in the low 60s, and visibility drops in spots along I-45 and Highway 59 as the morning commute gets underway.

According to the National Weather Service, fog lingers through the early hours before lifting later this morning. Skies stay mostly cloudy, but temperatures climb quickly, topping out near 75 this afternoon. South winds remain light, keeping the air damp and springlike for February.

Rain chances increase later tonight. Spotty showers develop after midnight, with coverage expanding toward daybreak Wednesday. Rainfall remains light for most neighborhoods, but wet pavement may slow travel during the morning drive. Drivers should watch for slick spots, especially near construction zones and ramps.

Wednesday stays warm and unsettled. Clouds dominate early, with scattered showers developing later in the day. Highs reach the mid-70s, and humidity remains noticeable. Conditions improve Wednesday night as showers fade and skies partially clear. Lows settle near 61.

Thursday brings another warm surge. Patchy fog returns early, then breaks into intervals of sunshine. Afternoon highs push toward 78, delivering a clear February spring tease across Harris County. Outdoor plans fare well, though clouds increase again after sunset.

By Friday, moisture deepens. Highs approach 79, and scattered showers develop during the afternoon. Rain chances rise Friday night, with heavier showers possible into Saturday. While severe weather is not the primary concern, downpours could cause brief ponding on roads.

Looking ahead, NOAA’s 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across Southeast Texas. That keeps the warm pattern intact into early next week, even as periodic rain chances continue.

For now, slow down in fog, plan extra time during wet commutes, and enjoy the midweek warmth. Seeing fog or showers where you are this morning?
