Nevada – Sunlight cuts through thin clouds across the Las Vegas Valley as February warmth builds fast. The air feels mild early, jackets come off quickly, and pavement stays dry through the morning hours. Temperatures climb toward the low 70s by afternoon, well above seasonal averages and closer to early spring than winter.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, clouds steadily increase today while winds remain light. Highs reach near 73 degrees, continuing a warm stretch across southern Nevada. Tonight stays mostly cloudy, with lows holding near 51, limiting any true overnight chill.

The warm pattern continues into Tuesday. Afternoon temperatures again approach the low 70s, though clouds thicken as moisture approaches from the west. By Wednesday, the pattern shifts just enough to bring isolated showers to the valley. Rain chances remain low, near 20 percent, but brief wet roads are possible during the afternoon and evening commute. Gusts may reach 18 mph at times, especially near open desert corridors and along I-15.

While snow is not expected in the valley, higher terrain surrounding Clark County could see light precipitation midweek. Any daytime rain that falls may evaporate quickly, but drivers should still watch shaded stretches after sunset, when temperatures dip into the mid-40s.

By Thursday, drier air returns and sunshine increases. Looking into early next week, above-normal temperatures appear likely across the Southwest. The broader warming trend suggests February may end on a springlike note, even as winter weather stays active across northern states.
