San Antonio, Texas — Warm and partly cloudy conditions are settling in across South-Central Texas today, with temperatures climbing well above seasonal averages and remaining elevated through early next week.

According to the National Weather Service Austin–San Antonio office, afternoon highs will reach the mid to upper 70s, with several locations pushing into the lower 80s. Cities including San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels, and San Marcos are expected to see their warmest temperatures during the mid to late afternoon hours.

Light and variable winds this morning will shift to southerly breezes later today, helping reinforce the warming trend. Skies will remain partly cloudy, and no precipitation is expected during daylight hours.

The warm pattern is forecast to persist through Tuesday, with temperatures remaining in the upper 70s to mid-80s across much of the region. Travel conditions along major corridors such as Interstate 35, Interstate 10, and U.S. Highway 290 are expected to remain dry and favorable through Tuesday afternoon.

Forecast guidance shows rain chances increasing late Tuesday into Wednesday as a disturbance approaches the region. Additional rain chances may return again Friday into Saturday, though timing and coverage remain uncertain. No severe weather is indicated at this time.

Overnight lows will stay mild, generally in the 50s, limiting early-morning chill and allowing for more comfortable starts to the day.

The extended warm spell is especially relevant for commuters, outdoor workers, and students, as lighter clothing will be appropriate during afternoon hours. However, officials advise staying hydrated and remaining aware of changing conditions later in the week.

Residents planning travel or outdoor activities later this week should continue to monitor updated forecasts as rain chances develop.
