Dallas, Texas – Unseasonably warm temperatures will continue across North and Central Texas next week, with a chance of rain returning by Tuesday.

According to the US National Weather Service in Fort Worth, above-normal temperatures are expected to persist through much of the upcoming week, with overnight lows remaining in the 40s and 50s and afternoon highs climbing into the 70s and low 80s. These readings are well above average for early February.

Forecast data shows Dallas–Fort Worth highs near 78 degrees Monday, cooling slightly to the mid-70s Tuesday and Wednesday, before warming again late in the week. Similar conditions are expected across Central Texas, including Waco, Temple, and Killeen, where highs may approach 80 degrees by Thursday.

An upper-level disturbance moving across the region is expected to bring a chance of showers on Tuesday, marking the best opportunity for rain during the upcoming week. Rain chances remain limited, with probabilities currently around 30% in the DFW area and up to 40% farther south, according to forecasters.

Drivers traveling along major corridors such as Interstate 35, I-20, I-30, and U.S. Highway 75 may encounter wet roads at times Tuesday, though no severe weather or flooding concerns have been indicated at this time.

Outside of Tuesday’s system, the remainder of the week is expected to remain dry and mild, with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies returning by midweek.

This forecast may be particularly relevant for commuters, students, and outdoor workers, as warmer mornings and afternoons reduce cold-weather impacts but shifting rain chances could affect travel planning.
