Dallas, Texas – Pleasant and seasonably warm weather is expected to continue across North and Central Texas this weekend, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the 60s and 70s ahead of rain chances early next week.
According to the National Weather Service Fort Worth, high pressure will remain in control through Sunday, bringing dry conditions, light winds, and gradually increasing temperatures across the region. Saturday highs are forecast to reach the upper 60s to low 70s, with widespread warming into the mid to upper 70s by Sunday and Monday.
In the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, temperatures are expected to peak near 77 degrees, particularly along major travel corridors such as Interstate 35E, Interstate 30, and Loop 820. Overnight lows will remain mild, generally ranging from the upper 40s to mid-50s, limiting early-morning travel impacts.
Similar conditions are forecast farther south and west, including Waco, Temple, and Killeen, where highs in the low to mid-70s are expected near I-35. In North Texas communities such as Sherman and Denison, temperatures will reach the low to mid-70s along U.S. Highway 75.
While skies will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy through the weekend, forecasters note that cloud cover will gradually increase on Monday ahead of the next weather system. Rain chances are expected to return Monday night into Tuesday, though no severe weather is currently indicated.
The warm and dry stretch is favorable for outdoor events, travel, and recreation. Commuters, students, and weekend workers should expect smooth travel conditions along major roadways, with no weather-related delays anticipated.
