Wichita, Kansas – Above-normal temperatures and dry weather are expected to continue across central and south-central Kansas through Sunday, with afternoon highs climbing well into the 50s and 60s to close out the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, quiet weather conditions will dominate the region through the weekend, with no significant precipitation expected. Forecast highs on Friday are projected to range from 56 to 63 degrees, supported by sunshine and light winds. Overnight lows will dip into the mid to upper 20s, typical for early February.

Conditions remain mild Saturday, with highs generally in the low to mid-50s, followed by a warmer push on Sunday, when temperatures are expected to rise into the low to upper 60s across parts of southern Kansas. Cities along major corridors such as I-135 through Wichita, I-70 near Salina, US-50 near Hutchinson, and US-169 near Coffeyville are likely to experience the warmest afternoon conditions.

The National Weather Service notes that dry air and stable weather patterns will persist, allowing for favorable travel conditions across the region. No winter precipitation, strong winds, or hazardous weather is expected during this period.

Sunday may mark the warmest day of the stretch, with some locations approaching the upper 60s, especially across southern Kansas. Overnight lows will also trend warmer by the end of the weekend, remaining mostly in the 30s.
