Forecast data shows afternoon highs reaching the upper 70s to lower 80s Saturday and Sunday, including areas along I-35 through Austin and San Antonio, US-290, and US-281.
The National Weather Service reports that dry conditions will persist through the weekend, supporting favorable travel and outdoor conditions. Overnight lows will also trend warmer, moving into the 40s and 50s by Sunday night.
Early next week, temperatures are expected to remain above normal, with highs continuing in the 70s and 80s. Rain chances are forecast to return early next week, with the highest likelihood on Tuesday, though no severe weather is currently expected.
Travel impacts are not anticipated during this period, though early-morning commuters tonight and Friday should be prepared for a cooler start, particularly in rural and elevated locations.
This forecast period may benefit commuters, outdoor workers, and weekend travelers, as quiet weather dominates before rain chances return.
Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts from the National Weather Service as next week’s rain timing becomes clearer.
