Denver, Colorado – Mostly sunny and warmer conditions are expected today across the Denver–Boulder region, affecting commuters along major Front Range roadways.

According to the US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder, temperatures will climb above recent averages under clear skies throughout Wednesday. The agency shared a regional outlook showing consistent sunshine across the mountains, foothills, and plains, with no precipitation indicated.

On the eastern plains, including areas along Interstate 25 through Denver and surrounding metro communities, afternoon highs are expected to reach between 62 and 68 degrees. These temperatures may be noticeable for drivers and outdoor workers accustomed to colder early-February conditions.

In the foothills west of Boulder and communities near U.S. 36, highs are forecast between 48 and 58 degrees, while mountain areas along Interstate 70 can expect cooler but still mild conditions, ranging from 32 to 42 degrees. Despite the temperature differences by elevation, sunshine is expected to remain dominant across all zones.

No hazardous weather impacts, advisories, or warnings were included with the update. The National Weather Service did not indicate strong winds, snowfall, or visibility concerns that would affect travel through major corridors such as I-25 or I-70.

The warmer daytime temperatures may be relevant for commuters, students, and young workers spending time outdoors or traveling between elevations, where conditions can vary significantly within short distances.

Residents are encouraged to remain aware of rapidly changing mountain weather later in the day and during evening hours, even on sunny days, especially when traveling west of the metro area.
