San Antonio, Texas – Warm, well above-average temperatures are expected across south-central Texas through much of next week, with only low chances for rain early to midweek.

According to a recent Facebook update from the National Weather Service office in Austin–San Antonio, mostly sunny skies will prevail today with temperatures climbing to near seasonal levels before turning unseasonably warm through the weekend and into next week. High temperatures are forecast to run up to five degrees above early February averages.

Forecast highs across the region are expected to reach the mid-60s to low 70s today, then climb further into the upper 70s and low 80s by Saturday and Sunday. Cities including Austin, San Antonio, New Braunfels, Georgetown, and San Marcos may experience multiple days of near-80-degree temperatures.

The warmth will be noticeable along major transportation corridors such as Interstate 35, Interstate 10, U.S. 183, Loop 1 (MoPac), and Loop 1604. While no travel hazards are expected, the shift from cooler mornings to warm afternoons may affect daily commute comfort, especially for pedestrians and outdoor workers.

Overnight low temperatures are expected to remain mild, generally in the 40s and 50s, reducing the risk of freezing conditions across the region. Light, mainly westerly winds are expected, contributing to the dry and pleasant pattern.

Rain chances remain low through the weekend, with only isolated chances developing early to midweek. The National Weather Service indicated no significant rainfall totals or severe weather threats are anticipated at this time.

The extended outlook supports continued above-normal temperatures into the middle of next week. Students, commuters, and young workers should plan for warmer afternoons while remaining prepared for cooler early-morning temperatures.

Forecast details may change as the week progresses.
