Delavan, Wisconsin – A series of free live piano performances featuring original instrumental and modern classical music will begin Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Delavan Lake Store Lounge.
The performance series, titled Original Instrumental/Modern Classical Piano Music, will feature solo pianist and composer Music By Jacob, who will perform original compositions on an upright piano at the Delavan Lake Store, located at 2001 North Shore Drive.
The first performance is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, from 7 to 10 p.m., with additional dates planned through September. All performances are free and open to the public. Drinks, ice cream, and limited food options will be available for purchase during the events.
Jacob is a self-taught pianist and composer who learned to play piano by ear. He began playing approximately two and a half years ago and has since progressed to performing multiple hours each week, composing more than an hour of original instrumental music. He describes his work as focused on creating a calm, welcoming atmosphere for listeners.
Additional Saturday performances from 7 to 10 p.m. are scheduled for April 4, June 20, and Sept. 12. Tuesday evening performances from 7 to 9 p.m. are scheduled for May 12, July 14, and Aug. 11.
Organizers describe the music as original instrumental and modern classical, emphasizing composition-driven performances rather than cover music. The lounge setting is intended to provide a relaxed space for listening and unwinding.
The Delavan Lake Store regularly hosts community events and is located along the north shore of Delavan Lake.
