Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas –Seasonably cool weather will continue across North Texas today and tonight before a warming trend brings milder conditions to the region on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, highs today are expected to range through the 50s to lower 60s, with overnight lows falling into the lower to mid-30s across much of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding counties. While most areas will remain dry, forecasters note a slight chance of light rain across northwest counties, though measurable rainfall is not expected to be widespread.
Cool conditions may be most noticeable during the morning and overnight hours along major transportation corridors including Interstate 35, Interstate 30, Interstate 20, and U.S. Highway 75, particularly for early commuters and overnight drivers. No winter precipitation or icing issues are anticipated.
A warming trend begins Thursday as high pressure builds over the region. Daytime highs are forecast to climb into the mid-60s, with some areas potentially reaching the upper 60s, signaling a return to more comfortable travel and outdoor conditions. Overnight lows will also moderate, reducing cold-weather concerns.
The National Weather Service indicates that winds will remain generally light, and no significant weather hazards are expected through Thursday. The pattern favors continued dry conditions, allowing road conditions to remain stable across the region.
Drivers traveling through Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton, Plano, Waco, and surrounding communities should experience minimal weather-related impacts, though cooler early-morning temperatures may still be noticeable today.
The temperature rebound may be especially welcome for students, outdoor workers, and commuters along I-35 and I-30, as conditions become more favorable heading into the latter part of the week.
This outlook is based on forecast guidance issued Wednesday afternoon and reflects expected conditions through Thursday across North Texas.
