Denver, Colorado — Sunshine and a notable warm-up are set to return across Colorado’s Front Range beginning Wednesday, with near spring-like temperatures expected by Thursday and Friday before a gradual cooldown early next week.

According to the National Weather Service Denver/Boulder, daytime highs will climb into the low to mid-60s across much of the urban corridor, including Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Greeley. Forecast data shows highs near 65 degrees Thursday and Friday, particularly along major travel routes such as Interstate 25, U.S. 36, and Interstate 70.

Forecasters report that increased sunshine will be the primary driver of the warming trend, with mild conditions likely persisting through the weekend and into Monday. Mountain communities will also see improvement, though cooler readings will remain at higher elevations. Areas such as Estes Park and Evergreen are expected to stay several degrees cooler than lower elevations but still above recent averages.

The warm stretch marks a temporary shift in the weather pattern. By Tuesday, cooling is expected to return as a new system approaches, and meteorologists note that more unsettled conditions could develop toward the middle of next week. While no significant precipitation details were provided, the change could bring increased variability after the extended mild period.

For commuters, students, and outdoor workers, the warmer and calmer conditions may offer improved travel and activity weather along I-25 between Denver and Fort Collins and US-36 between Denver and Boulder, especially Thursday and Friday.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the favorable conditions while remaining aware of upcoming changes by monitoring updates from weather.gov/bou.
