According to the National Weather Service in Boston/Norton, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Nantucket until early Monday morning. Snow showers are expected to continue intermittently, producing total accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. While snowfall amounts remain modest, wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph, significantly reducing visibility at times and increasing the risk of drifting snow on exposed roadways.
Statewide impacts are limited, but Nantucket faces unique challenges due to its coastal exposure. Gusty winds may bring down tree limbs and unsecured objects, while slick roads could make driving difficult, especially overnight. Ferry operations and marine travel may also experience disruptions as rough conditions persist around the island.
