St. Louis, Missouri – A mostly dry and seasonable workweek is expected across eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois.

According to the National Weather Service St. Louis, the upcoming week will feature dry conditions for most days, with only a slight chance of light snow on Tuesday. That snow potential is focused mainly over southeast Missouri and south-central Illinois, where about a 20% chance of light snow exists. No significant accumulation is expected at this time.

For the majority of the region, including the St. Louis metro area, travel conditions along Interstate 55, Interstate 64, Interstate 70, Interstate 44, and Interstate 255 are expected to remain favorable throughout the week. Forecasters said any snowfall Tuesday would likely be brief and light, with minimal impact to roadways.

Temperatures through Thursday are forecast to be at or just below seasonal normals, but not as cold as last week’s arctic conditions. Highs early in the week are expected to range from the upper 20s to mid-40s, with overnight lows generally in the teens and 20s. A gradual warming trend is anticipated late in the week.

By Friday, highs are forecast to climb into the 40s and lower 50s, signaling a more noticeable moderation in temperatures. The National Weather Service emphasized that while conditions remain winter-like, the overall pattern is calmer and more stable compared to recent weeks.

Communities across St. Louis, St. Charles, Columbia, Jefferson City, Farmington, Belleville, and Cape Girardeau are expected to see similar conditions. Students, commuters, and young workers traveling during the workweek should encounter mostly dry roads, with only minor weather-related concerns.

Residents are encouraged to monitor updates Tuesday in case the light snow chance shifts, but no advisories or warnings are currently in effect.
