Rome, NY – A Rome woman has been arrested following an investigation by the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, according to Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara.

On January 30, 2026, Sergeant Melissa Bolton and Rome Police Detective Alexis Perry arrested 36-year-old Tiffany Gray of Rome in connection with an ongoing investigation. Authorities allege that on January 5, Gray facilitated phone contact between a child and an adult male, despite being aware of an active stay-away order of protection in place between the two.

According to investigators, Gray was charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both Class A misdemeanors. Separate from those charges, Gray was also accused of Tampering with a Witness in the Fourth Degree after allegedly engaging in a text conversation with a child witness in a pending CAC case in an attempt to influence testimony.

Gray was processed at the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building and held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility pending arraignment at the Centralized Arraignment Court. Officials confirmed that new orders of protection have been requested on behalf of the involved children.
