Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Drivers across the Milwaukee metro could face slippery roads by early Wednesday as light snow brushes southeastern Wisconsin, especially along the I-94 corridor.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, less than half an inch of accumulation is expected mainly north of I-94 tonight, with flurries possible into Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Racine counties. Snow may begin after sunset and taper off by dawn.
Areas from Port Washington to Beaver Dam sit in the zone most likely to see accumulation, but metro Milwaukee isn’t exempt. Icy patches are likely on untreated roads, bridges, and exit ramps — particularly during the early morning commute.
Crews are expected to treat primary routes overnight, but reduced visibility and light coating may still impact travel. Residents are urged to allow extra time and reduce speeds on slick roads.
The system clears by sunrise, with drier but colder air settling in midweek. Wind chills near -5°F are possible early Thursday.
