St. Louis, Missouri – A widespread winter storm is set to deliver 5 to 10 inches of snow to central, east central, and southeast Missouri beginning late Friday, making weekend travel across much of the state hazardous to impossible.

Accumulating snow will start early Saturday and intensify throughout the day, affecting key metro areas including St. Louis, Jefferson City, Farmington, St. Charles, Union, and Fulton.
