Nashville, Tennessee – A cool, gray start greets Middle Tennessee today, but conditions are set to improve quickly as dry weather takes hold this weekend and a pronounced warming trend builds into next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, early morning low clouds, patchy drizzle, and areas of fog are lingering across the region, especially south of Interstate 40. Visibility may be reduced at times during the morning commute, but no significant rainfall is expected. Conditions will steadily improve through the day as clouds thin and drier air moves in.
High temperatures today will reach the upper 40s to mid 50s, with a cooler night ahead as lows dip into the upper 20s to lower 30s. Sunday turns noticeably nicer, with more sunshine and highs climbing into the upper 50s and lower 60s across much of Middle Tennessee. Winds remain light, and dry conditions are expected area-wide.
The bigger change arrives early next week as temperatures rebound sharply. Highs are expected to climb into the mid and upper 60s by Tuesday, with some locations nearing 70 degrees by midweek. Overnight lows also trend milder, signaling a sustained stretch of above-normal warmth.
Rain chances return around midweek, but no severe weather is anticipated at this time. Forecasters say the quiet weekend offers a good window for travel and outdoor plans, with continued updates expected as the midweek pattern comes into better focus.
