Milwaukee, WI – The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan reports that a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for south-central and southeast Wisconsin through Sunday morning, as moderate to occasionally heavy snow continues overnight.

The advisory includes Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Janesville, Waukesha, Monroe, and Lake Geneva, where 2 to 5 inches of snow are expected, with localized totals near 6 inches possible — particularly near Lake Michigan due to lake enhancement.

According to forecasters, snow will gradually taper off between 6 and 8 a.m. Sunday, but roads will remain slick into the morning hours. Motorists should reduce speeds, allow extra travel time, and use caution during the early commute, especially on I-39, I-43, and I-94.

Residents are also advised to clear snow from vehicles and walkways and monitor updates from the Wisconsin 511 travel information system for real-time road conditions.

This Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. CST for south-central Wisconsin and 8 a.m. CST for southeast Wisconsin on Sunday, December 7.
